The new logo, known as "The Vista," draws inspiration from the summit of a golden window frame, symbolizing boundless possibilities, progress, and the airline's confident vision for the future, according to a company statement in August.

Air India, now owned by Tata Sons, may replace traditional sarees with modern uniforms designed by Manish Malhotra for its female flight attendants. Options include chudidars for women and suits for men, aligning with the evolving aviation sector. The new look is expected to be unveiled with the arrival of Airbus A350 aircraft in October or November.

In an incident that has raised concerns over the quality of in-flight services, a regular traveler aboard an Air India flight from Bengaluru to New Delhi was shocked to discover a dead cockroach in his meal.

Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran unveiled the new Air India logo with bold red, golden, and purple colours saying that it represents the airline's bold vision of its future.Travellers will begin to see the new logo throughout their journey starting December 2023.

On June 3, the Air India pilot flight AI-458 (Chandigarh – Leh) allowed an unauthorized person, a helicopter pilot, into the cockpit. It is reportedly said that the helicopter pilot entered the cockpit during departure and remained in the cockpit throughout the flight.

A police officer said the man was arrested based on a complaint lodged by the airline crew. "The man was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. He had arguments with some co-passengers and the crew members over some minor issue," the officer told a news agency.

Reacting to this incident, the Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said, "DGCA is aware of the issue and necessary action is being taken in the matter in accordance with the procedures. Air India formed a committee for the detail investigations."

On June 6, an Air India flight took off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport or the IGIA in New Delhi. It was headed to San Francisco, US. However, while in air, some major technical glitches were detected in the engine.

On June 6, an Air India direct flight AI173 from Delhi to San Francisco, United States with over 200 passengers made an emergency landing in the Far East of Russia in Magadan. About 40 hours later, an alternate flight was finally taken the stranded passengers to San Francisco.
