Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari said, "You don't need to look elsewhere in Maharashtra as there are so many icons here. While Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is a bygone-era icon, there are now BR Ambedkar and Nitin Gadkari." The Governor made the remarks during a ceremony honouring Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and NCP leader Sharad Pawar.

Sanjay Raut tweeted, "Inquiring about your political colleague is a sign of humanity, despite having strong disagreements on some issues... Such gestures are becoming rare in times of political polarisation. Rahulji's yatra focuses on love and compassion; hence, it's receiving a massive response."

The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) said they were conducting anti-encroachment drives in the area. The KDMC's anti-encroachment department demolished four illegally constructed structures on Saturday, including the Shiv Sena office.

While responding to the question about Fadnavis, Uddhav Thackeray said, "That is why Delhi believed that the chief minister should be changed and Fadnavis should be made deputy chief minister. They also took this revenge."

Reacting to this, former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray said his party has "immense respect" for VD Savarkar and that he does not approve of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's remarks on the freedom fighter.

In an interim decision issued on October 8, the Election Commission (EC) restricted the two Shiv Sena factions led by Thackeray and Shinde from using the party name and election symbol in the Andheri East assembly by-election.

The Mumbai traffic police have declared diversions and limitations on vehicle movement around Shivaji Park in Dadar. The arrangements for the death anniversary have been prepared, and police have asked the public to follow the orders to avoid disruptions.

Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray claimed that central agencies are being 'misused' and that political parties, including the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Telangana Rashtra Samiti (now Bharat Rashtra Samiti), Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, and Trinamool Congress are being targeted. He claims that unbridled rulers have no idea what will happen if these forces come together.

The Shiv Sena leader also lauded the state government and said, "A new govt was formed in Maharashtra, I welcome some of their good decisions. Dy CM Devendra Fadanvis took some good decisions. We feel that the state is being run by Dy CM Fadnavis and he is leading the state."

In July this year, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut after over six hours of questioning in the Rs 1,034-crore Patra Chawl land scam case in suburban Goregaon.
