After laying off 50 percent of employees and thousands of contractors, the new Twitter CEO Elon Musk has now fired a member of Android app developer team, but this time via a tweet.The person whose employment was terminated by Musk is an Android developer named Eric Frohnhoefer.

Twitter removed 'Official' labels just hours after its launch last Wednesday. Twitter decided to roll out the 'Official' label to provide a second verification label to limit confusion between legitimate accounts and those that pay for their blue ticks.

In the latest development, the Twitter account of Jesus Christ, the supposed Lord and Savior has been verified by Twitter and received the blue checkmark. The Twitter profile in question features a cartoonish profile picture of Jesus Christ pointing his right index finger and raising his left thumb with a wink and a smile.

Twitter Blue is likely to cost in India Rs 719 per month. As part of the plan users will get free verification badge, although Twitter will continue to be available to non-paying users as well.

The warning came amid a tumultuous start to Musk's reign at the social media company -- a two-week period in which he has fired half of Twitter's staff, ushered out most of the top executives and ordered the remaining employees to stop working from home

Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, Gigi Hadid and Whoopi Goldberg have been the newest celebrities to quit the social media platform.

Twitter is now asking dozens of its employees to return, claiming they were fired by mistake, according to reports. "Some people who were asked to return were mistakenly laid off. Others were let go before management realised their work and experience would be needed to build the new features Musk envisions," according to reliable sources.
