Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey is already working on a new social network that, by all indications, will be named Bluesky. "The word 'Bluesky' evokes a wide space of possibilities," the company posted last week, and announced on its website that it is looking for people to help it during beta testing.

Elon Musk has fired Twitter’s board of directors, giving himself unfettered control over the social media giant, according to a company filing. Musk became “sole director” of Twitter after finalising his $44bn takeover of the company last week, according to documents filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday.

The report comes a day after Musk tweeted that Twitter will revise its user verification process. He did not, however, provide any information about the charges. Musk tweeted, "The entire verification process is currently being revamped."

Twitter's new owner Elon Musk has denied a New York Times report about laying off Twitter employees at a date earlier than November 1 to avoid stock grants due on the day. In response, Musk said, "This is false."

Sriram Krishnan is a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, also known as a16z, and invests in early-stage consumer startups. Sriram is also the director of Bitski, Hopin, and Polywork. Before joining a16z, Sriram held several senior product roles.

Elon Musk said that Twitter will revise its verification process, just days after he took over one of the world's most influential social media platforms. It is currently planning to charge $19.99 for the new Twitter Blue subscription, according to a report by The Verge

The new Twitter owner has not yet offered details about how his content moderation council will work. Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, legal executive Vijaya Gadde, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal and General Counsel Sean Edgett were ousted as Musk's acquisition was completed.

Earlier, Elon Musk tweeted, "The bird is free," after completing Twitter's takeover and firing four top executives, including Agrawal, legal executive Vijaya Gadde, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal, and General Counsel Sean Edgett.

EU official Thierry Breton tweeted a video of himself and Musk from May of this year, in which they both indicated agreement on the EU digital media regulation. The discussion occurred weeks after Elon Musk decided to pay $44 billion to acquire the social networking firm.
