Twitter has suspended the account of Elon Jet, a user closely following Elon Musk's movements. Musk suspended the account after tweeting that his free speech extended to accounts tracking his movements, even if it posed a 'direct personal safety risk.'

The 73-year-old stands at the top of both the Forbes and Bloomberg Billionaires rich lists, with a net worth of $188.6 billion and $171 billion, respectively. In the recent year, the French tycoon has remained in the top ten of the world's wealthiest list, but he was ranked lower than Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Elon Musk, once worth as much as $340 billion, has been displaced as the world's richest person by Bernard Arnault. Musk has seen his fortune tumble by more than $100 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Twitter users may soon lose the blue check mark beside their profile name as Elon Musk is not happy about the way they were given out. Ever since Musk took over, he has been coming up with different ways to take away the exclusivity that comes with the blue tick.

Another not-so-shocking update from the Hollywood industry is finally here. Elton John has quit Twitter. He has mentioned how misinformation is the main factor behind the same in his tweet. It is not the first time that a celebrity has quit the platform.

Elon Musk has reportedly threatened to sue Twitter employees who leak company information to the media, and has told them to sign a pledge indicating they've understood him clearly. He said that occasional slip ups are understandable "but breaking your word by sending detailed info to the media" with the intent to harm Twitter "will receive the response it deserves".

Character limits have been a key differentiation between Twitter and other social media sites. Twitter was called a 'micro-blogging service' due to its character limit of 140 characters (for any tweet). However, the character limit was eventually increased to 280 characters in 2017.

Twitter will be getting rid of hundreds of surplus office supplies in a January auction. The items being auctioned off include kitchen appliances, Twitter sculptures, and office chairs. Some unique memorabilia featured include bikes that can charge your phone, a 3-ft Twitter Bird statue, and a 6-foot "@" sign with artificial plants that can be replaced with real plants.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Digital Director Devender Reddy said that efforts were underway to regain control of the YSR Congress Party's Twitter handle while confirming the hacking incident. "We complained to Twitter, and they are investigating. It is anticipated that it will be resolved soon," he said.
