Merely days after the obscene November 26 incident onboard the New York-Delhi Air India flight, another case has now come to light in which a drunk male passenger allegedly urinated on a female passenger's blanket.

Air India incident: The accused, a Mumbai-based businessman, has been charged under IPC sections for outraging a woman's modesty, misconduct by a drunken person, obscene act in a public place, and violating Aircraft rules.

Air India's B787-800 aircraft VT-AND, operating AI 143 (Delhi-Paris) flight, at 1:28 pm took off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport and was in the air for 35 minutes when a full emergency was declared.

Earlier, the man had allegedly urinated on a woman passenger in the business class of a US-Delhi Air India flight. He was booked and a police complaint was launched against him. The incident took place on November 26, 2022.

The incident occurred onboard Air India flight AI 102 on its way from New York JFK airport to New Delhi on November 26. According to reports, Air India has filed a police complaint and formed an internal committee to recommend that the male passenger be placed on a 'no fly' list.

The family was travelling from Bengaluru to Delhi and then to Amritsar on a 12-day vacation. They were boarding flight AI 503 on Saturday. In the viral video, the man said, "We were told that you can leave your pet and go...It is as good as leaving your kid and flying."

Air India is close to placing orders for up to 500 jets worth tens of billions of dollars from Airbus and Boeing.The orders include as many as 400 narrow-body jets and 100 or more wide-bodies including Airbus A350s and Boeing 787s and 777s, industry sources said

The merger, which is aimed to be completed by March 2024, will give SIA a 25.1% stake in an enlarged Air India group with a significant presence in all key market segments.
