A top official in the HAL said that there is nothing to worry about as “our production line is ready and we are resolving the minute things which are left. We will deliver all aircraft well within the stipulated timeframe.”

A source in the defence and security establishment said that the plane maker Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has promised that it would deliver the first aircraft by November. 

The second phase will be held in Jodhpur in September, wherein the air forces of Australia, Bangladesh, Greece, Singapore, UAE and the USA will take part with their assets. A total of 10 countries will be participating in the grand exercise as observers, he said.

Currently, four columns with a total strength of approximately 225 personnel are deployed for the operation. Additionally, two more columns, comprising about 140 personnel, are on standby in Thiruvananthapuram, ready to be airlifted at short notice if required.
