Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed condolences on the demise of Chaudhary and said that the parliamentarian was always vocal on issues of public interest.

Bharat Jodo Yatra arrived in Haryanas' Kurukshetra on Sunday. The march included former Chief of Army Staff General Deepak Kapoor and other veterans passing through Haryana. The yatra will conclude on January 30 in Srinagar, with Rahul Gandhi hoisting the national flag.

The Congress leader said that the Yatra's purpose is also to let people hear the true voice of the country. "Bharat Jodo Yatra has received overwhelming response everywhere," Gandhi said addressing the media in Samana near Kurukshetra.

General Secretary of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai, lauded Rahul Gandhi for the Bharat Jodo Yatra and said, "I appreciate Rahul's move. Nothing is wrong with it. Nobody can oppose the Bharat Jodo Yatra."

Sonia Gandhi has been unwell since Tuesday which is why Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had returned to Delhi after walking seven kilometres in the Bharat Jodo Yatra that entered Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday evening.

While on stage, the Gandhi siblings were seen sharing happy moments together. Priyanka Gandhi praised her brother Rahul Gandhi for his endurance despite 'all forces being used against' him a speech.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will join the Bharat Jodo Yatra throughout its 120-km Uttar Pradesh leg beginning Tuesday. This will be her first major public appearance in Uttar Pradesh since leading the party's campaign for the 2022 assembly elections.

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav said, "Thank you for inviting me to the Bharat Jodo Yatra, and best wishes for the campaign's success. India is more than its geographical expanse, love, nonviolence, compassion, cooperation, and harmony. I hope this yatra achieves its goal of preserving our country's inclusive culture."

On December 9, 2022, Chinese troops tried to cross the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Tawang Sector of Arunachal Pradesh to "unilaterally change the status quo" but were forced to retreat due to "timely intervention of Indian military commanders".

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said, "The year 2022 has given Rahul Gandhi's leadership a new shine and aura. If things remain the same in 2023, we may see a political shift in 2024 (general elections)." Raut also warned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah not to sow 'seeds of haters and divisiveness.'
