"Truth shines bright. It has a nasty habit of coming out," said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi when asked about the row over the BBC documentary on PM Modi. The Ministry of External Affairs had taken a tough stance against the BBC the film, calling it a 'propaganda piece.'

On Monday, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said that the BJP government at the Centre claims to have carried out a surgical strike against Pakistan, there was no proof of it.

A 65-member strong Ladakh delegation led by Ladakh Territorial Congress President Nawang Rigzin Jora joined the Wayanad MP at the start of the yatra and briefed him about the issues and concerns of their people, one of the delegation members said.

The march started from Kanyakumari on September 7 and entered Jammu and Kashmir from Punjab on Thursday. The yatra is scheduled to end in Srinagar on January 30 with hoisting of national flag at Congress headquarters by Rahul Gandhi.

On Thursday, the march entered Jammu and Kashmir through Lakhanpur and halted there for the night following the flag handover ceremony which was attended by a galaxy of prominent leaders, including National Conference president Farooq Abdullah.

On Tuesday, scores of people joined the march as it resumed from Tanda as part of its Punjab leg amid biting cold conditions. Many people, including singer Rabbi Shergill, were seen joining the march.

Hours after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's alleged 'security breach' during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Punjab, Gandhi said that he could only see a person who came to hug him, and it was not a security lapse. Rahul Gandhi made the statement after a man tried to hug him during the yatra.

The incident comes just weeks after the Congress raised concerns about Gandhi's security, alleging multiple breaches. Congress demanded increased security protection for him. In response, the Centre and security forces claimed Gandhi had breached his security cover over 100 times since 2020.

The Punjab CM said that the Congress leader has forgotten that "hands of his family are drenched with murder of democracy in the country and people will never forgive them for this sin".
