In the sectoral indices on NSE, Nifty PSU Bank gained 0.62 per cent after surging more than 3 per cent on Monday. All sectors are in the green, showing signs of recovery. Nifty Auto gained 0.51 per cent, Nifty IT was up by 0.87 per cent, and Nifty PSU Bank also gained 0.62 per cent.

The positive momentum follows a stellar performance last week, where both indices recorded gains of more than 4 per cent, their best weekly performance in the last four years.

The report highlighted India's growing role in international trade, alongside other emerging economies such as Viet Nam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. These countries are forecast to be among the top 30 nations in terms of both trade speed and scale.

The BSE Sensex slipped 69.91 points, opening at 76,278.16, while the NSE Nifty declined 22.40 points, starting at 23,168.25. Despite the negative opening, market breadth remained mixed, with 31 Nifty companies advancing and 19 declining.

Amid global uncertainties, gold prices have been hitting new highs, as investors turn to safe-haven assets. Economic concerns, political instability, and security risks have all contributed to gold's increasing appeal.

On the opening of the trading session today, BSE Sensex was in green, up 29.56 points or 0.04 per cent at 75,330.82, and the Nifty50 at National Stock Exchange (NSE) was up 19.70 points or 0.09 per cent at 22,854.00.

Among Nifty companies, 43 stocks advanced while seven declined in early trade. The top gainers included Hindalco, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Shriram Finance, and M&M, while HCL Tech, TCS, Tech Mahindra, ONGC, and Sun Pharma were the top losers.
