Ganesh festival in Pune has always been a big treat for the citizens of India. The seven mandals in Pune will be installing replicas of their Ganesha in various districts of Kashmir next year.

During his speech, Ghulam Nabi Azad said, "The people of Jammu and Kashmir will decide the party's name and flag. I'll give my party a Hindustani name that everyone will recognise." Adding that he will always support the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Hussain was arrested by the Indian Army on August 21 while attempting to cross the border into India from Kotli's Sabzkot village in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Hussain was allegedly paid Rs 30,000 to attack the Indian Army post by Col Yunus Chaudhry of a Pakistan intelligence agency.

Ghulam Nabi Azad is likely to announce the formation of his new party in the rally at Jammu. The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister last week said he will launch a new party soon. The first unit, he said, will be in Jammu and Kashmir where polls are due.

The recent mass resignation comes close on the heels of the resignations of a dozen prominent Congress leaders, including former ministers and legislators, besides hundreds of Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members, municipal corporators and district and block level leaders.

Saroori, who along with several former legislators met with Azad in New Delhi on Friday to extend their support, said the veteran politician was going to announce the launch of the party within the next fortnight.

A joint letter in this regard was issued by the leaders, including GM Saroori, Haji Abdul Rashid, Mohd Amin Bhat, Gulzar Ahmad Wani and Choudhari Mohd Akram. Senior Congress leader and former cabinet minister RS Chib also resigned from the party's primary membership.

Until February 2021, Azad served as the Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha. He served as the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in the government of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh until 27 October 2005, when he was appointed as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad resigned from all positions, including primary membership of the Congress Party. Hehad some days ago stepped down as chairman of the campaign committee in Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, two suspected terrorists were killed as the Army foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The infiltration attempt in Naushera sector was made on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
