Hitting out at the Opposition party, Amit Shah said the Bharatiya Janata Party has brought in JAM – which stands for ‘Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and Mobile’ but for SP, it stands for ‘Jinnah, Azam Khan and Mukhtar (Ansari)’.

At the ceremony, Shah asserted that, in contrast to the opposition, the present state administration has demonstrated that Bharatiya Janata Party governments operate efficiently for the lowest of the poor.

This is Shah's first visit to Kashmir after abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir state into two Union Territories on August 5, 2019.

During his 3-day stay in the union territory, the minister will also inaugurate the first direct international flight between Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar and Sharjah in UAE on Saturday.

The executive will also have 50 special invitees and 179 permanent invitees, besides 80 regular members.

Recounting the event, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh revealed how Shah had directed a forest officer to cooperate with them when they reached their destination in Gujarat around 10 pm and there was no way ahead through the forested area and no facility to stay.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of ‘Sahakar se Samriddhi’, Shah will address more than 2000 people associated with the cooperative in the first of its kind and unique cooperative society.
