The incumbent Yogi Adityanath has broken the 39-year-old record in the state by getting the mandate after having served the full term.

The Congress is the biggest loss-sufferer with a collective lead on less than 60 seats across the five states.

The Uttar Pradesh assembly election verdict has silenced all the critics who doubted whether Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be able to break a nearly four-decade-old jinx and get a second consecutive term in power.

Yogi Adityanath is set to break a 39-year-old jinx in Uttar Pradesh and return to power for a second term as chief minister.

The additional aid is over and above the funds approved by the Centre to the states under the State Disaster Response Fund.

Shah said that the holi is on March 18, but would be celebrated on March 10. He added that the BJP government would win on March 10 and deliver free gas cylinders on Holi. "For the next five years, no farmer will have to pay electricity bills," Shah added.

The minister stated that if a BJP alliance government is established in the state, it will deal strongly with the issue of narcotics. He added when the BJP would form the government in Punjab; they would open Narcotics Control Bureau branch offices in four cities.

The Prime Minister will address two rallies at 12 pm and 2:25 pm, respectively.

The districts where the elections will be held are Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Shamli, Hapur, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Agra and Mathura.
