The French Air and Space Force showcased its ability to carry out long-distance air power projection by deploying a contingent from metropolitan France to the French territory of New Caledonia in the Pacific Ocean in less than 72 hours, covering a distance of 16,600 km.

Of the 214 who made it to the merit list for the Officers Training Academy in Chennai, 139 have got admission for the 116th Short Service Commission Course (Non-Technical) for Men while 75 will enter the 30th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course.

Nicknamed 'Silly' by his friends in the fraternity, Major Sylvester Rajesh Ratnam was an intrepid and highly-motivated officer. The troops remember him for his exemplary courage, camaraderie and leadership in saving the lives of his fellow soldiers.
