Levelling a serious allegation against the government weeks before the Lok Sabha election, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi has said the Prime Minister has made a systematic effort to cripple the party financially.

The Karnataka High Court has quashed the case against Mohammed Harris Nalapad, State Youth Congress President, relating to alleged money laundering. The Congress on Wednesday released its official list for Rajya Sabha. The Congress has fielded Sonia Gandhi from Rajasthan and nominated Abhishek Manu Singhvi from Himachal Pradesh.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed his support for the decision of All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and the leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, not to participate in the Ram Lalla installation ceremony in Ayodhya.
