Several wrestlers have been protesting at Jantar Mantar in the national capital since April 23 with a demand that the findings of a committee which was formed to probe sexual harassment charges against WFI chief Brijbhushan Sharan Singh be made public.

Indian wrestlers' ongoing protest against the WFI chief in Delhi took an ugly turn on Wednesday night following a scuffle with Delhi Police. Meanwhile, Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia have vowed to give up their medals and life for justice.

In a video being circulated on social media platforms, some of the protesters can be heard accusing a police personnel of attacking two wrestlers under the influence of alcohol.

Indian wrestlers continue their protests against WFI and its president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, in Delhi. Meanwhile, Bajrang Punia has reaffirmed that "this is a fight for justice for India's daughters".

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Delhi Police, told a bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice P S Narasimha that the FIR would be registered on Friday.

Ace javelin thrower Chopra, who scripted history by winning India's first-ever gold medal in athletics at the Olympics, said "it hurts" to see the wrestlers taking to the street in search of justice.

Top Indian wrestlers such as Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik among others are holding a protest against the WFI chief, accusing him of sexual harassment and mistreatment of female athletes.

Decorated wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik are the three central characters in the renewed protests against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

In a video message, BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, without making a mention of the allegations against him, indicated that he would not accept defeat till he has strength for fight.

Amid the protest by wrestlers against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Singh, the Delhi Police have started a probe into their complaint. The police have sought a report from the probe committee that was set up by the Sports Ministry.
