"We had a discussion on some issues. Police investigation should be completed by 15th June and the minister has requested us not to hold protests until then," said Bajrang Punia following the wrestlers meeting with Sports Minister Anurag Thakur.

The complaints detail numerous allegations of sexual harassment, inappropriate touching, groping, stalking, and intimidation spanning over a decade, both within India and in foreign countries.

The IOC's reaction follows the United World Wrestling's (UWW) criticism of the detention of the grapplers during their protest at Jantar Mantar, in which the sport's world body threatened to suspend the national federation if it fails to hold its election within the stipulated time.

Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said he will hang himself even if a single allegation, levelled by female wrestlers, is proved against him.

On May 28, the Delhi Police detained wrestlers Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia, and later filed FIRs against the wrestlers for violation of law and order.

The wrestlers had announced they would immerse their medals in the river in Haridwar as a mark of protest to demand action against BJP MP and WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. But the wrestlers did not carry out the threat after farmer leaders sought five days' time from them to resolve the issue.

Delhi Police has filed an FIR against protesting wrestlers who were detained while marching towards the new Parliament building.They have been booked for rioting and other charges following a scuffle with security personnel after they were stopped from marching to the new Parliament building as it was being inaugurated.

As soon as the grapplers were bundled into the police vans, police officers cleared the protest site by removing the cots, mattresses, coolers, fans and the tarpaulin ceiling along with other belongings of the wrestlers.

The wrestlers have been demanding the arrest of WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, accusing him of sexually exploiting several women grapplers, including a minor.

Wrestlers vs WFI chief:The court directed the police to file the report by May 12 when it will further hear the matter. The women wrestlers had approached the Supreme Court and two FIRs were registered on April 28.
