Ladakh’s Lieutenant Governor Brigadier BD Mishra (Retd) flagged off the Indian Air Force-Uttarakhand War Memorial car rally for Srinagar on its second day. The event, held at Leh's NDS Indoor Stadium, was attended by students from Ladakh University, Indian Army and IAF personnel, and local sportspersons.
 

The Cabinet Committee on Security, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the indigenous construction of two nuclear-powered conventional strike submarines (SSNs) and the procurement of 31 MQ-9B Predator drones from the U.S.

In the first leg of the rally, with objectives to extend support and boost the morale of air warriors, Malhotra and Sehrawat will drive Jimnys from Thoise near Siachen Glacier to Leh, on Tuesday. 

These development trials showcased repeatability of hit-to-kill capability of the weapon system in various target engagement scenarios covering approaching, receding and crossing modes.
