In a Deepotsav first, 1,100 Vedacharyas performed a united Aarti for Maa Saryu, led by CM Yogi Adityanath. The ceremony, held at a specially constructed ghat, also included the CM's ceremonial worship of Maa Saryu, attended by dignitaries like Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

After 500 years, Ram Lalla's temple in Ayodhya celebrated its first Deepotsav on October 30, 2024. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other dignitaries participated in the ceremony, lighting diyas and paying homage.

Devotees arriving in Prayagraj and local priests who have witnessed previous Kumbhs are calling the scale of development "nothing short of a marvel." They attribute the sweeping changes to CM Yogi's administration.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the upcoming Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, set to take place this year after a 12-year interval, will be more divine and grander than all previous Kumbh festivals.

Govardhan Puja, a significant part of Indian tradition, embodies society’s compassion toward cows and strengthens cultural roots. Through this initiative, the Yogi government seeks to celebrate Govardhan Puja with heightened grandeur, symbolizing protection and respect for cows.
