The new logo, known as "The Vista," draws inspiration from the summit of a golden window frame, symbolizing boundless possibilities, progress, and the airline's confident vision for the future, according to a company statement in August.

Tata Group, India's largest conglomerate, is close to an agreement to acquire an Apple supplier's factory as soon as August, marking the first time a local company would move into the assembly of iPhones. A takeover of the Wistron factory in southern Karnataka state, potentially valued at more than $600 million (roughly Rs. 4,900 crore).

As Apple looks to expand its manufacturing base in India, a report suggests that two of 2023 iPhone series phones will be Made in India. The Cupertino-based company may manufacture iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models in India. The report further states that the handsets will be assembled by Tata Group.

Ratan Tata, who is already a recipient of the Padma Bhushan in the year 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008, which are the third and second highest civilian honours awarded by the Government of India, respectively, has added another feather to his cap. He was recently awarded the Order of Australia, which is the highest civil honour in that country.

On Tuesday, Boeing and Air India announced a mega deal under which the Tata Group-owned airline will purchase 190 B737 MAX, 20 B787, and 10 B777X for a total of 220 firm orders valued at USD 34 billion at list price.

After months of closely-guarded, tough negotiations, Air India is set to place an order for 190 Boeing 737 MAX narrowbody planes as well as some 20 Boeing 787s and 10 Boeing 777X on a day marking one year since Tata Group took control of the former state-run carrier, the sources said.

The Tata group took over management of Air India from the government on January 27, 2022. In its list of important undertakings, Air India said it is 'finalising a historical order of new aircraft to power future expansion.'

Tata Group-owned Infiniti Retail, which runs the Croma chain of stores, plans to open 100 stores across the country that will only sell Apple products. The stores will be built inside malls, high street areas and neighbourhood locations, the report added.

Air India is close to placing orders for up to 500 jets worth tens of billions of dollars from Airbus and Boeing.The orders include as many as 400 narrow-body jets and 100 or more wide-bodies including Airbus A350s and Boeing 787s and 777s, industry sources said

Tata Group may also plan to set up a joint manufacturing venture with Wistron. Wistron is one of the three iPhone makers in India alongside Foxconn and Pegatron. Wistron’s Karnataka facility is responsible for the manufacturing of iPhone SE, iPhone 12 and iPhone 13.
