The Opposition seems to be unconvinced with the clarification given by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Parliament with regard to the accidental launch of a missile that landed in Pakistan.

The Karnataka government too declared director Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files (TKF)' tax-free. Earlier, Haryana and Gujarat governments made the film tax-free in their respective states. The film TKF is centered around the systematic killing of members of Kashmiri pandits by extremists in the valley.

“While the incident is deeply regrettable, it is also a matter of relief that there has been no loss of life due to the accident,” the Ministry added.

Interestingly the claim comes at a time when there is mounting opposition pressure on Prime Minister Imran Khan to resign from his post. Meanwhile, neither the Indian defence ministry nor the external affairs ministry have responded to Pakistan's claim.

India once again hit back at Pakistan and the Organisation of Islamic Countries and expressed regret over the latter providing a platform to Islamabad to serve its anti-India propaganda.

The terror attack in Peshawar on Friday which claimed the lives of at least 56 worshippers and injuring over 190 was the handiwork of the Islamic State.
