The National Assembly held a no-confidence vote against Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration late Saturday night. The Opposition received 174 votes to depose Imran Khan.

Ramiz Raja, who like Imran Khan is also a former Pakistan captain, is presently in Dubai for the International Cricket Council (ICC) meetings which concluded on Sunday.

Taking to social media, Khan wrote: "Pakistan became an independent state in 1947; but the freedom struggle begins again today against a foreign conspiracy of regime change. It is always the people of the country who defend their sovereignty and democracy."
