The homes of two senior leaders of the Tejashwi Yadav-led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) were raided by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the "land-for-jobs" case that alleges irregularities during Lalu Yadav's tenure as Railway minister in the UPA-I government.

Along with him, RJD's Tejashwi Yadav took oath as Deputy CM for the second time.JD(U) joined hands with the 'Mahagathbandhan' comprising 7 political parties and staked claim to form a government with the support of over 164 MLAs.

As per the schedule released by the RJD at its state headquarters here, elections for units at booth, panchayat, block and district levels will start from August 16 and conclude by September 6.

Misa Bharti, the daughter of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, uploaded a picture of him in the hospital on Friday, saying his health has improved since he was hospitalised on Wednesday.

The CBI also raided the official residence of Bihar's Opposition Leader and Lalu Prasad Yadav's son, Tejasvi Yadav, and other locations in Patna, Delhi, and Gopalganj.

"We've contacted about 17,000 people, and I'm going to meet with them. People from all castes and with various profiles have met with me. My first announcement is that I will meet with these folks in the coming days to learn about their vision for Bihar's growth and how it may be realised," he added.
