Both Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Assamese counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma have exchanged several virtual verbal volleys in the past four days.

The interstate border between Assam and Mizoram is 164.6 kilometres long and has seen several flare-ups in recent years. Six police officers and one civilian were killed, and approximately 60 people were injured in last year's violent clash.

Six Bangladeshi nationals from Ansarul Islam had entered Assam to indoctrinate youths, and one of them was arrested when the first module was busted in March this year at Barpeta, said Assam CM.

The current spate of flooding began on June 13 and has affected over 2.5 million people in 27 districts.

Sarma, who has repeatedly denied any involvement in the Sena power struggle that threatens to destabilise the Uddhav Thackeray government, told the reporters, "Guwahati has 200 hotels, all of which have customers. Would we ask guests to leave because of the flooding? I would not get engaged because the BJP is helping (rebel MLAs) in Maharashtra."

Over the last week, the state has been hit by devastating floods, affecting 47,72,140 people in 32 of the 36 districts.

Flood waters have submerged 19782.80 hectares of cropland in flood-affected districts. Following the data from the state government, 1,510 villages in 72 revenue circles are currently underwater.

"This is not corruption, Manish bhai; it is humanism. My wife did not commit a crime; she attempted to assist Assam during its moment of greatest need. hurling mud at others will not be tolerated. You will suffer legal ramifications," Biswa continued.

The AAP leader claimed that Himanta Biswa Sarma's wife's company does not even deal in medical equipment.

Assam HSLC examination began on March 15 and concluded on March 31, 2022.
