With another Rs 2.5 per kg increase on April 6, the retail price of CNG in Delhi now stands at Rs 66.61 per kg.

Despite an explosion in the crude oil prices due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in the country have chosen not to revise the petrol and diesel rates across the country just yet.

The Environment Minister emphasized the importance of the next few weeks for Delhi's air quality and urged neighboring states to operate only CNG, electric, or BS-VI buses from their depots to avoid inconveniencing passengers.

"The ban on BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel vehicles will kick in from Tuesday since the air quality has deteriorated in the severe category. We are monitoring the situation along with the Environment department,"a senior Transport department official said.
