Chandrababu Naidu has been transferred to the Rajahmundry Central Prison after being placed in judicial custody for 14 days.Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party (JSP) has expressed its support for the bandh called by the TDP.

During the proceedings, the TDP leader himself addressed the judge, denouncing his arrest as illegal and an act of political vendetta orchestrated by the ruling YSR Congress Party government.

Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in connection with a skill development scam case. Although initially not named as an accused in the FIR, Naidu's arrest was made based on information uncovered during the investigation.

Chandrababu Naidu, whose party was part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), had left the alliance in protest against the Central government's refusal to grant special status to Andhra Pradesh.Naidu emphasized, "My foremost commitment lies with Andhra Pradesh."

Some of the injured are undergoing treatment in hospital. Naidu, who immediately cancelled the meeting, announced Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the deceased. He also visited the hospital where the injured were being treated.

Naidu accused YSR Congress Party MLAs of embarrassing him by making personal remarks about his wife Bhuvaneswari in a strangled voice and wiping his tear.

The Principal Secretary highlighted the Kandukuru incident that occurred on December 28 and noted that "holding of meetings on public roads and road margins is leading to deaths and creating traffic obstructions."

TDP MP Kalisetty Appalanaidu announced incentives for women having a third child—₹50,000 for a girl and a cow for a boy. CM Chandrababu Naidu also extended maternity leave for all deliveries. The move aims to promote population growth and women's empowerment in Andhra Pradesh.

Schools in Telangana have received an extended holiday break. Following the Christmas holidays, an additional holiday was declared due to the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. This results in a series of three more days off.

The court also instructed the Crime Investigation Department (CID) not to make any arrests until Thursday in the Angallu 307 case. Additionally, the High Court stayed the prisoner transit (PT) warrant in the Inner Ring Road petition, which was filed by the CID Vijayawada ACB court.
