Bangladesh is experiencing its most severe political crisis since its independence in 1971, with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigning amid widespread anti-government protests.

Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina departed Bangladesh for India on Monday evening. India's security officials assured her of safe travel to Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad.

Soon after the military took over the country’s reins, the Bangladesh President held a meeting and unanimously decided to free the BNP leader immediately. In the meeting, they also decided to release all detainees who were arrested in cases pertaining to students’ agitation.

Israeli residents complained of a GPS disruption ahead of Iran’s expected attack to avenge the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh.
