The first-ever in-person Quad leaders’ summit was held in the White House, on Friday wherein Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the cooperation of four nations -- India, Australia, Japan and the United States -- will ensure peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and in the entire world. 

The bilateral talks which were held at the White House explored a range of issues of mutual interest ranging from trade to investment, QUAD to climate change, technology to defence, Covid vaccines to the Indian diaspora. 

Several incidences involving embassy staff and CIA employees, and family members have recently been recorded in Vienna. Still, the unidentified station head voiced scepticism and insensitivity, citing intelligence sources.

Blinken went on to remark that the Taliban claims to be seeking legitimacy and backing from the international world. He went on to say that the acts it takes will determine its relationship with the world community.

Both leaders acknowledged the vibrant people-to-people linkages as the bedrock of the mutually beneficial education linkages and the flow of knowledge, innovation and talent between our two countries. 

"India is the fastest-growing country now in the world. And we are very optimistic. We have done great (in India). And we are proud of what we have done in India," Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman said.

In order to propel investment into India from United States shores, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Thursday hold a business round table with the global CEOs in Washington, DC and will also meet select CEOs one and one.

In another historic announcement, Biden stated that the US would purchase another half-billion dose of Pfizer to distribute to low and middle-income nations worldwide.

Prime Minister Modi's Air India One touched down at the Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. Despite the rain, Indian Americans lined up outside the airport to get a glimpse of the Prime Minister.

Ahead of his departure from New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that during his visit, he will review the India-US comprehensive global strategic partnership with President Joe Biden and exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
