Uttar Pradesh has committed Rs 5435 crore for infrastructure and development projects, focusing on safety, accessibility, digital integration, and environmental sustainability for the event.

The projects, according to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), include agricultural and allied industries, IT and electronics, MSME, manufacturing, renewable energy, pharma, tourism, defence & aerospace, and handloom & textiles, among others.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate projects worth over Rs 7,000 crore at the Prayagraj Mahakumbh on December 13th. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed preparations, emphasizing the expanded scale of the event compared to 2019 and the commitment to providing a seamless experience for pilgrims.

The news comes as senior BJP leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have been having marathon sessions at the BJP headquarters in preparation for Assembly elections in UP and other states.
