The G20 Summit will kick off on September 8 in New Delhi. Leaders from the group of 20 major economies of the world will discuss and find solutions to several key global issues. Here's a list of world leaders who will be attending the event in New Delhi.

The confirmation of Jinping's absence at this year's G20 Summit comes after several days of speculation to that effect. It also follows a brief global dispute over a new "standard map" that lays claim to Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin, along with territory from other nations.

G20 Summit: Russian President Vladimir Putin has also communicated his decision not to attend the New Delhi summit in person. Instead, he has chosen to appoint Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as his representative.

Sources said though there was actually a pending request from the Chinese side for a bilateral meeting, the two leaders, had an informal conversation in the Leaders Lounge during the BRICS Summit in South Africa.

Interestingly, China claimed that the meeting between the two leaders on the sidelines of the 2023 BRICS Summit happened at India's request.Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the two leaders had a candid and in-depth exchange of views on current China-India relations and other questions of shared interest.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the BRICS summit on Thursday, during which he spoke about India's concerns on the unresolved issues along the Line of Actual Control in the western sector of the India-China border areas.

Qin Gang was considered to be a close associate of President Xi, and his rapid ascent in the diplomatic sphere was widely attributed to their strong relationship. However, the recent development has led to speculation and curiosity about the circumstances surrounding his removal from office.

India is all set to virtually host the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit today where Chinese President Xi Jinping, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to join Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

One of the focal points of the summit will be boosting connectivity and trade among the participating nations. The leaders will likely engage in productive deliberations to explore ways to strengthen ties and promote regional stability.
