WhatsApp has rolled out a new update for beta testers. It adds a new layout as the messaging platform has changed the placement of chats, and other things. It lets you access your chats and other tabs on the main window pretty easily.

Last year, WhatsApp's parent company Meta Platforms Inc (META.O) was branded an "extremist" organisation by Moscow but the messenger app has not previously faced penalties for failing to remove prohibited information.

The new feature called Companion Mode will allow you to use WhatsApp on multiple iPhones simultaneously.Users may run WhatsApp on up to four iPhones at once using the Companion mode. The feature's advantage is that customers may simultaneously utilise one account on different iPhones.

WhatsApp update: With the new feature, users will be able to access their archived Status updates through a dedicated section within the WhatsApp interface, specifically designed within the Status tab.

The chat is developing a new interface which will have three new shortcuts, namely “profile,” “privacy,” and “contacts". The new interface for WhatsApp settings is currently in development and will be made available to users through an upcoming update of the app.

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a feature to set up a WhatsApp username, allowing users to choose unique usernames for their accounts. A screenshot shared by WABetaInfo reveals that WhatsApp is actively working on introducing a username feature within the app settings.

Meta layoff: Meta Platforms Inc started carrying out the last batch of a three-part round of layoffs on Wednesday, as part of a plan announced in March to eliminate 10,000 roles.

WhatsApp update: According to the report, the new interface is clearer and more intuitive. Instead of opening an additional window every time an option is selected, it is now possible to enable or disable it directly from the screen by toggling the switch, resulting in time-saving.

WhatsApp has introduced the edit option which will only work for up to fifteen minutes after sending the message. The company explains that "edited messages" will display an "edited" tag.
