WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new interface for its Android app. The design tweak by the Meta-owned instant messaging app brings enhancements to the top app bar and UI elements, as per a report.

To bring more privacy to its platform, WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new privacy feature to protect the IP address in calls. According to a report from WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, the meta-owned app wants to implement new features for calls in order to offer a better privacy and security experience.

WhatsApp recently introduced the option to send photos in HD quality and now you can do that for videos as well. By default, WhatsApp will use the standard version, and only when you select the HD mode, will the messaging app increase the quality of the video before sending.

WhatsApp will now let you create group names based on the participants in them and will no longer need you to compulsorily name them. Meta notes that this new feature will be rolling out over the next few weeks, and it’s meant to help when you need to make a group quickly and don’t want to think of a name.

With this feature, it’s possible to share real-time videos lasting up to 60 seconds, and it works as effortlessly as sending a simple voice note. The update includes two new features — screen sharing during video calls and the option to send recorded video messages.

WhatsApp will soon allow users to edit photo captions on the messaging platform. The new feature has already been rolled out for some users.The feature will be available for both Android and iPhone users.

WhatsApp notes that HD Photos will roll out globally over the next few weeks. WhatsApp will also receive the HD Videos option soon. Photos in HD will take more time to send or load, depending on the internet speed.
