Kerala is set for a wet week ahead, with widespread light to moderate rain forecasted for the next seven days. Heavy rain is possible today in isolated areas, prompting yellow alerts in seven districts.

Kerala is bracing for heavy rainfall over the next four days, with the Indian Meteorological Department issuing heightened warnings. Northern and central Kerala will be most affected, with orange alerts in Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad, and yellow alerts in Pathanamthitta, Palakkad, Kannur, and Kasaragod.

Kerala is bracing for heavy rainfall due to a low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal, influenced by cyclonic circulations. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued yellow alerts for several districts.

The IMD predicts "light to moderate rainfall" over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh until September 25, with "isolated heavy rainfall" expected in West Madhya Pradesh on September 24 and East Madhya Pradesh on September 23-24. Chhattisgarh is likely to see heavier rain between September 22 and 24.

The IMD forecast indicates the possibility of very heavy rainfall in isolated areas. There is also warningabout the possibility of strong winds with speeds of 30-40 km/h (up to a maximum of 50 km/h) from today (Aug 10) through August 13.

Yellow alert has been issued in various districts of Kerala with the state bracing for heavy rains for the next five days. Also,there is a possibility of strong winds and bad weather along the southern Kerala - Lakshadweep coasts.

Tropical storm Debby has slowly moved off the Southeast coast of the US, bringing prolonged flooding rain and strong winds to the region.Due to itsslow forward motion, more rain is expected in the coming days.

States such as Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu are among the worst affected. Experts warn of adverse impacts on agriculture, water resources, and rural livelihoods if the dry spell persists or worsens.
