One of the most recent changes made by the microblogging platform required companies to pay $1,000 (approx Rs 82,233) each month in order to keep their gold badges. Elon Musk's Twitter will also charge an extra $50 per month to add badges to each account affiliated with the brand.

The lack of janitors has "left the office in disarray," with bathrooms that have "grown dirty" and persistent odours of "leftover takeout food and body odour," report said. According to the outlet, some employees are bringing their own toilet paper because there are no janitors on hand to replace supplies.

Twitter's new owner Elon Musk said the site will provide "general amnesty" to suspended accounts starting next week. In the poll which more than 3.16 million users participated in, more than 72.4 per cent voted in favour of bringing back the suspended accounts.

The design change will roll out later this week, though it remains unclear whether it will be a targeted rollout or whether all Twitter users will receive it. Elon Musk has announced that long-form tweets will roll out in early February. Currently, Twitter allows tweets in 280 characters.

"With a single click, Twitter's redesigned immersive media player extends videos to full screen, allowing you to effortlessly enjoy the complete, immersive watching experience. To enable it, simply tap/click on a video in the Twitter app," Twitter wrote recently in a blog post.

The company decided to ban all accounts posting handles and links to other rival social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook. However, after facing backlash over these new changes, the company has now taken down all tweets that talked about the ban and also deactivated the official page that outlined the new policy changes.

Twitter is purging a lot of spam/scam accounts and therefore users may lose followers during the day, Elon Musk said on Thursday. Twitter has already banned 44,611 accounts promoting child sexual exploitation and non-consensual nudity in India between September 26 and October 25, as Musk took over.

Twitter chief Elon Musk has said that users will soon be able to post very long tweets on the micro-blogging platform. Responding to a user's query, Musk said the company will "soon" extend "longform tweets" to 10,000 characters.

Twitter had recently tested the feature from the Twitter Blue handle. Now, it seems all Twitter Blue users can edit tweets. The feature is available to users in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

According to a Twitter blog article, "you pick who's in your Twitter Circle, and only the persons you've added may react to and interact with the Tweets you share in the Circle." It should be emphasised that Twitter Circle is still in its early phases, and only a small number of people worldwide can create Twitter Circle tweets.
