Talks with Chief Minister MK Stalin-led government failed on Monday, with unions, including CITU, seeking a 15th wage revision agreement, dearness allowance revision, and filling of vacancies.

According to data released by the weather department, Sirkazhi in Mayiladuthurai district recorded the highest rainfall at 24 cm, followed by Chidambaram in Cuddalore district at 23 cm, and Velankanni in Nagapattinam district at 22 cm.

The appeal was lodged by ML Ravi against the Madras High Court's ruling, which deferred the decision on Balaji's continuation in the Tamil Nadu Cabinet to the Chief Minister, particularly in his capacity as a Minister without portfolio.
