The Delhi Traffic Police has advised passengers that buses would be barred from entering New Delhi beyond Gol Dak Khana Junction, Patel Chowk, Windsor Place, Teen Murti Chowk, and Prithviraj Road. Between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m., the city traffic police recommended people to avoid Motilal Nehru Marg, Akbar Road, Janpath, and Man Singh Road.

The Congress leader added that the party intends to organise a 'peaceful protest march to the ED office led by Rahul Gandhi.'

The Congress party's nationwide protest plan comes after ED issued a new summons to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

Captain Amarinder Singh quit Congress after stepping down as Chief Minister last year. Singh then left the Congress to start his own party, months before the Punjab elections. Since then, Singh has been a critic of the Gandhis, holding them accountable for the party's defeat in the assembly elections.

Rahul Gandhi, who had previously been summoned for June 2, had written to the investigation agency to request a delay because he is currently on a foreign tour and is expected to arrive in the country on June 5.

Sonia Gandhi, according to Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala, has been engaging with leaders and activists over the last week. She tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday evening. She has isolated herself due to slight symptoms.

Sonia Gandhi will appear before the ED on June 8, while Rahul Gandhi has been summoned on June 2.

Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said, "Started the National Herald newspaper in 1942, at that time the British tried to suppress it. Today, Modi government is also doing the same and ED is being used for this."

On the proposal of the disciplinary action committee, the party resolved a week ago to remove Jakhar from all party positions for two years. Since then, the former Congress leader has been pondering his political choices.
