Addressing the UN meet in Delhi, Jaishankar said, "These have turned into potent instruments in the tool kit of terrorists and militant groups for spreading propaganda, radical ideology and conspiracy theories aimed at destablising socities."

"While one of the terrorists was captured alive, prosecuted, and convicted by India's highest court, the key conspirators and planners of the 26/11 attacks continue to be protected and unpunished," said S Jaishankar, EAM.

Russia's Defense Minister called his NATO counterparts to discuss the situation on Sunday. Western countries that support Ukraine have dismissed the claims, accusing Russia of spreading misinformation.

India's External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, said, "We've had some interactions with the Canadian government, and I've met with my counterpart about the (Khalistani) issue, and we have emphasised the importance of ensuring that democratic freedoms are not abused by forces that advocate violence and bigotry."

Reacting to a question about the 'Khalistani' issues in Canada, Jaishankar said, "From time to time we have engaged the Canadian government on this issue and we have flagged the need to ensure that freedoms in a democratic society aren't misused by forces which actually advocate violence and bigotry."

Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar explained what went behind India's decision to continue buying Russian oil. Recently, Jaishankar said PM Modi's advice on the issue was to do what is best for the nation.

According to authorities, four Sikh family members kidnapped in California earlier this week, including an eight-month-old baby girl, have been found dead. The local Sheriff's office also released surveillance video confirming their kidnapping on Monday.

Jaishankar will make his first trip to New Zealand. On October 6, he will attend an event in Auckland with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern to honour members of the Indian community for their exceptional achievements and contributions.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar described the visa delay as a crucial issue given its significance for business, technology, family reunions, and education. "There have been issues recently. I've informed Secretary Blinken and his staff of some of these concerns, and I'm optimistic they'll act positively," he said.

Responding to a question posed during an interaction with the Indian-Americans about Joe Biden administration's approval of a USD 450-million sustenance package for F-16 fleet, Jaishankar referred to the argument made by the United States that the F-16 sustenance package is intended to fight terrorism.
