According to the draft minutes of the 11th Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) of the CPEC, both sides have also agreed to strengthen the capabilities of the law-enforcement agencies and investigators, news agency PTI reported.

In response, the army issued a statement that read: "The PTI chairman's baseless and irresponsible accusations against the organisation and, in particular, a senior army officer is unacceptable and unwarranted. Today's unfounded accusations against the institution and its representatives are unfortunate and categorically rejected."

Imran Khan claimed that he already had the information regarding the assassination attempt on him and claimed that four people plotted to kill him.The firing has left more than 15 PTI workers injured, including former Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail and Faisal Javed.

Imran Khan's ex-wives have condemned the attack on the former prime minister of Pakistan and expressed relief that he is stable after surgery.

On Thursday (November 3) evening, Imran Khan sustained a bullet injury on his leg when a gunman opened fire on the container-mounted truck carrying him during his protest march, killing one person. The former Pakistan prime minister was out of danger in what his party claimed was an "assassination attempt."

Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry confirmed that the former PM was shot in the leg. He further said that three other leaders were also injured.

In this video, shots of gun fired can be heard when the former PM Imran Khan was travelling in an open-top vehicle during the rally. Apart from Imran Khan, PTI leader Faisal Javed was also injured.

Imran Khan was injured in the shooting and was transferred to Lahore for immediate medical attention, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said. Senator Faisal Javed of the PTI was also injured in the shooting.

Footage from the incident surfaced online and showed Khan being moved into a vehicle after the incident with the help of other people present at the site. There was a bandage tied around the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader's leg.
