From Goa to Karnataka to Uttar Pradesh, here's list of all states where The Kashmir Files can be seen tax-free

As Karnataka High Court is all set to pronounce its judgment on the much anticipated hijab row, from imposing prohibitory orders to closing the schools and colleges, the government has taken measures to ensure law and order is not disturbed.

UT Khader said that the state government failed to resolve the controversy before it went to court.

The Karnataka government too declared director Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files (TKF)' tax-free. Earlier, Haryana and Gujarat governments made the film tax-free in their respective states. The film TKF is centered around the systematic killing of members of Kashmiri pandits by extremists in the valley.

The Aam Aadmi Party set its eyes on Karnataka that will go to assembly polls in April-May next year. The party has started distributing flyers through newspapers to invite new members into the party fold. National Executive Member of the party Prithvi Reddy says in 60 days, assembly wise candidates list will be out.

The University of Mysuru on Sunday announced that it will honour late actor Puneeth Rajkumar with an honorary doctorate posthumously The doctorate will be honoured on March 22, coinciding with University's 102nd convocation.

Landslide was reported from Karnataka's Chamarajanagar district on Friday in which five workers were believed to have been trapped. Out of 5, 3 have been rescued and shifted to hospital. As per police, the workers are migrant workers and efforts are on to trace the two missing persons. Following the incident, the police have detained a writer cum manager of the private mining company and investigation is underway.

The additional aid is over and above the funds approved by the Centre to the states under the State Disaster Response Fund.

While the Karnataka High Court is yet to give its verdict in the hijab row, the issue refuses to die down. In a fresh case, the students of Udupi government college, the epicenter of the hijab row, were denied entry to give practical exams. Following the college management's denial of opportunity, some of the students had given representation to DDPI asking him to postpone exams until the final verdict is out the case.
