The Australian PM also mentioned his upcoming meeting with Prime Minister Modi. This is his sixth encounter with Prime Minister Modi this year, he claimed. In addition, he discussed the Quad Summit, which was held concurrently with the G7 Summit in Hiroshima, Japan.

Supporters of Prime Minister Modi have organised special buses from Brisbane and Canberra. Before leaving for Japan to attend the G7 Summit in Hiroshima, PM Modi said that he will meet the Indian community in Sydney at a special event.

Last week, Japan's Nuclear Regulation Authority decided to keep a de facto ban on the power station from resuming operations, saying that the utility’s preventative measures are inadequate.

FIPIC was launched during PM Modi's visit to Fiji in 2014. The FIPIC Summit will see participation from leaders of 14 countries. Normally all of them rarely converge together due to connectivity and other issues.

PM Modi is on a six-day visit to three countries - Japan, Papua New Guinea, and Australia, to attend multilateral summits, including that of the Group of Seven (G7). He is set to visit Australia on the third and last leg of his visit.

The leaders also paid floral tributes at the Cenotaph for the victims of the Atomic Bomb. The US conducted the world's first nuclear attack on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, destroying the city and killing some 140,000 people.

US President Joe Biden walked up to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and shared a hug as they meet in Hiroshima for the G7 Summit. PM Modi landed on Friday in Japan to take part in the third in-person Quad leaders' meeting as well as the annual G7 summit, where he will explore ways for all world leaders to work together to address global concerns.

G7 Summit:During his visit, PM Modi interacted with renowned Japanese author, Hindi and Punjabi linguist, Padma Shri Dr. Tomio Mizokami in Hiroshima.He also had a warm conversation with leading Japanese painter Hiroko Takayama.

Hiroshima received the bust of Mahatma as a gift from India, which is a suitable homage to a city that represents humanity's desire for peace.The Mahatma Gandhi bust has been gifted by the Government of India to the city of Hiroshima as a symbol of friendship and goodwill between India and Japan.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who is hosting the summit and has consistently voiced his own desire to enhance connections with the so-called Global South, or developing countries, invited India, which is not a member of the G-7.
