On Friday night, Ohad, along with his mother Keren and grandmother Ruti, was reunited with their family after 49 days in Hamas captivity. Tragically, Roi, who was Ruti’s son and Keren’s brother, had been killed by Hamas terrorists on October 7.

Meanwhile,Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting with security forces within the Gaza Strip on Sunday, as per his office. During the meeting, Netanyahu engaged with soldiers and commanders, receiving a comprehensive security briefing, as stated by his office.

Initially thought to be killed during the October 7 Hamas attack, Emily Hand spent her birthday in the tunnels of Gaza after being kidnapped along with her friend and her friend's mother from the kibbutz of Be’eri in southern Israel.

The Israeli military had said that as many as 13 Israelis were released in Gaza and in exchange 39 more Palestinian prisoners were released by Israel in the West Bank. Reports further said that Hamas also released four Thai hostages.

Meanwhile, in a brief video, Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, asserted that the group remains committed to adhering to the terms of the truce, contingent on Israel reciprocating the same commitment.

"It has been confirmed by the Security Department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that there are 12 Thai hostages already released," wrote PMSrettha Thavisin on X.

As Israeli hospitals prepare for the arrival of hostages released by Hamas in the recent ceasefire, the Israeli health ministry has issued specific guidelines, reported by various sources, to address malnutrition among these individuals.

At a press conference in Doha, a Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson said the ceasefire will begin Friday at 7 am (10:30 am IST )and that the first hostage release, of 13 hostages, will be at 4 pm (9:30 pm IST).

The release of hostages under a temporary truce between Israel and Hamas terrorists will not happen before Friday, Israel's national security adviser said.Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza for at least four days, to let in aid and free at least 50 hostages held by Hamas in the Palestinian region in exchange for at least 150 Palestinians jailed in Israel.
