The court deferred the matter for March next year noting the submission of Agnihotri's counsel that the film director shall remain personally present for the next hearing on March 16, 2023 to tender his apology.

Hearing the petitioner as well as her husband and the doctors concerned, the court said it would pass an order on Tuesday morning. The court also heard the lawyers appearing for the parties.

On March 24, Umar Khalid had moved Delhi High Court after he was denied bail by the city's Karkardooma court. He was arrested on September 13, 2020 and has been under custody since.

The trial court had dismissed the bail plea of Satyendar Jain. The AAP leader was arrested on May 30 under sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act by the ED and is presently in judicial custody in the case.

Amitabh Bachchan, 80, popularly known as "Big B", approached the court with a petition "against the world at large" seeking to protect his "name, image, voice, and personality attributes".

Aaftab Poonawala, who is accused of killing Shraddha Walker, was produced before the Saket Court on Tuesday (November 22) via video conferencing in a special hearing after his five-day custody expired. The court extended his custody to four more days.

It is reportedly said that Upadhyay filed a petition in the top court challenging an order of the Delhi High Court dismissing a plea seeking certain steps, including a two-child norm, to control the rising population.

According to reports, the court framed charges against Mushab Anwar, Rhees Rasheed, Mundadiguttu Sadanananda, Marla Deepthi, Mohd Waqar Lone, Mizha Siddeeque, Shifa Haris, Obaid Hamid Matta, and Ammar Abdul Rahiman.

The high court said though the infection rate was very high, the government through its medical protocol was able to control the pandemic and at present, the government has been able to vaccinate the majority of the population as more than 219 crores doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
