Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will expand his Cabinet on Tuesday, nearly a week after he ditched the BJP-led alliance and formed “Mahagathbandhan” government with the support of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress. The oath taking ceremony of new ministers will take place at 11:30 am in Raj Bhavan.

Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav said Lalu Yadav is a modern man. He said there is a certain perception about him that isn't true. Elaborating on why Rachel's name was changed to Rajshri, he said it was done as it would be easier to pronounce for the people of Bihar.

Adding that he was not scared of the CBI and ED even during the first tenure as deputy CM, Yadav said that he has matured as a politician since his first stint as deputy CM in 2015-17.

While talking to reporters, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that the BJP was planning to weaken the Shiv Sena and create divisions within the party.

Kumar ended his alliance with the BJP on Tuesday and revived the 2015 alliance with Lalu Yadav's RJD. With this, BJP now has no major ally in Bihar.Calling Nitish Kumar the catalyst for political instability in Bihar, Kishor said the new government will see a major political role for RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.
