Two on-duty female constables fought with armed robbers at a bank in Bihar's Hajipur. The courageous women cops dominated the criminals and prevented the robbery. The accused fled the spot after locals assembled at the place.

According to reports, two passenger trains were asked to stop at the outer signal of Buxar station to give a smooth passage to CM's convoy. The distressed passengers were forced to deboard the train and walk for some distance to reach their destination.

In a video shared by Tejashwi Yadav himself, the deputy chief minister was seen in the nets practising alongside "young and bright players of Bihar".

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the caste census in the state will benefit all sections of society. During the much-hyped enumeration exercise, data regarding the number of all households, castes, sub-castes and religions will be conducted in two stages.

CM Mamata Banerjee said, "It was in Bihar, not West Bengal, where Vande Bharat was pelted with stones. We will take legal action against those media outlets that broadcast false information about the incident in West Bengal and defame our state."

During interrogation, the arrested persons admitted that they supplied spurious liquor made of homoeopathy medicines in Saran district, the SP said. One of the accused had also consumed the same liquor, but he survived after the treatment, he added.

Additional Chief Secretary (Cabinet Secretariat) S Siddharth said that the cabinet approved the proposal to constitute a high-level committee to decide the modalities to buy a new 10+2 seater aircraft.

Leader of Opposition in the Bihar assembly, Vijay Kumar Sinha, who had visited the affected Mashrak block in Saran on Thursday, claimed inside the Assembly on Friday that the hooch tragedy has "claimed more than 100 lives".
