Bangladesh is experiencing its most severe political crisis since its independence in 1971, with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigning amid widespread anti-government protests.

Soon after the military took over the country’s reins, the Bangladesh President held a meeting and unanimously decided to free the BNP leader immediately. In the meeting, they also decided to release all detainees who were arrested in cases pertaining to students’ agitation.

The escalating protests in Bangladesh are reportedly believed to be orchestrated by Pakistan ISI, with support from China's Ministry of State Security.

Domestic exporters in India have voiced significant concerns regarding the ongoing crisis in Bangladesh, emphasizing that recent developments in the neighboring country could adversely affect bilateral trade.

In a statement, the BSF said: “The purpose of this visit is to review the operational preparedness and strategic deployment of BSF in these important border areas.” An Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and the director general of Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB), Choudhary took over the additional charge of DG BSF on August 3.
