In a thrilling turn of events at the Paris Olympics 2024, Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat stunned the wrestling world by defeating the four-time world champion and reigning gold medallist, Yui Susaki of Japan on Tuesday.

Vinesh Phogat fought back from two points down to secure a 3-2 win over defending champion Yui Susaki in the 1/8 finals of the women's 50kg freestyle wrestling at the Paris Olympics 2024. The 29-year-old won the match in the final 10 seconds courtesy of a desperate takedown. 

Defending champion Neeraj Chopra secured his place in the men's javelin throw final of the Paris Olympics 2024 with a remarkable season's best throw of 89.34 meters on Tuesday.
