Bárbara Lamonier started her competitive cheerleading journey while studying engineering at her university in Brazil. What began as participation in a college team quickly evolved into a high-level athletic commitment. The combination of technical challenge, teamwork, and constant self-improvement motivated her to pursue opportunities beyond the collegiate level.

As she advanced, she joined stronger competitive programs in Brazil and immersed herself in increasingly demanding training environments. Her progression earned her a spot on the Brazilian National Cheerleading Team, where she competed internationally. This experience further strengthened her technical foundation and solidified her desire to compete on the biggest stages in the sport.

Progression to Elite Competition

Lamonier worked her way through increasingly competitive divisions until she reached the elite tier of the sport. Each step demanded greater consistency, technical precision, and mental resilience.

After moving to the United States, she became part of two elite programs competing at the highest levels of cheerleading: the Westcliff University Cheer Team, where she competed as a scholarship student-athlete, and California All Stars Rangers, one of the most competitive all-star teams in the world.

In both programs, she focused on performing at the highest level and contributing directly to team success in elite competition environments.

Adapting to Higher-Performance Environments

One of the main challenges of her career has been adapting to increasingly competitive environments. Transitioning from competitive programs in Brazil to elite teams in the United States required adaptation to higher-intensity training, stricter performance standards, and less margin for error.

Each new level demanded mental resilience and physical refinement. She strengthened her consistency, elevated her performance, and adapted quickly to new standards. Continuous improvement has remained central to her growth as a world-class athlete.

Major Collegiate and National Titles

While competing with Westcliff University, Lamonier and her team won the NCA & NDA Collegiate National Championship in 2023.

The championship is held annually in Daytona Beach, Florida, and is considered one of the most important collegiate cheerleading championships in the United States. The win represented her first collegiate national title in the United States.

With the California All Stars Rangers Level 7 team, she has won multiple national titles, including three NCA All-Star National Championships — two in Dallas, Texas, and the most recent in Houston on March 1, 2026. The NCA All-Star National Championship is one of the largest cheerleading competitions in the world, attracting thousands of athletes and teams annually. Competing and succeeding in this Level 7 environment strengthened her position as an elite all-star cheerleader.

World Vice Champion and World Champion

In 2022, competing with the California All Stars Rangers, Lamonier became the first Brazilian athlete to compete in the International Open Large Coed Level 7 division at

The Cheerleading Worlds, marking Brazil’s debut at the sport’s most advanced tier. The Cheerleading Worlds is widely recognized as the most prestigious international championship in all-star cheerleading, bringing together the top teams from around the world that qualify through a selective bid system.

In 2023, Lamonier earned the title of World Vice Champion, positioning herself among the top athletes in the sport. The following year marked the highlight of her career when she won The Cheerleading Worlds and became a World Champion. The title followed years of dedication to the sport, progressing from university-level competition to the highest international division.

Winning The Cheerleading Worlds was especially meaningful, as it made her one of the first Brazilian cheerleading athletes to win a Worlds title. Lamonier’s participation also reflects the growing presence of Brazilian athletes in elite international cheerleading competitions, where the field remains dominated by U.S.-based programs.

She sees this achievement as an important milestone not only in her personal journey, but also for the continued growth of cheerleading in Brazil. She is proud to represent her country on this stage.

2025–2026 Season and Continued Elite Performance

The California All Stars Rangers opened the 2025–2026 all-star cheerleading season at the GSSA Grand Nationals with a score of 98.0458. This performance secured a Paid Bid to The Cheerleading Worlds, guaranteeing the team’s return to cheerleading’s most prestigious international championship. Paid Bids are awarded to top-scoring teams, securing early authorization to compete at the World Championship level.

The team continued its season competing at major events, including Spirit Sports in Palm Springs and the NCA All-Star National Championship in Houston, where the Rangers secured another NCA All-Star National Championship title on March 1, 2026.

The early-season result reflects the Rangers’ consistency, precision, and elite execution standards from the outset. The roster features a lineup of elite athletes and returning World Champions, creating an environment where expectations remain consistently high. Among those athletes is Bárbara Lamonier, whose experience adds stability and reliability to the team’s performance.

As the season progresses, the team continues refining and adjusting its routine in preparation for The Cheerleading Worlds. The Cheerleading Worlds will take place in April at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida, where the Rangers will return as defending champions in the International Open Large Coed Level 7 division. Lamonier is training with renewed focus, aiming to deliver strong performances and pursue another title at the sport’s highest level.

Role as a Flyer and Specialized Expertise

Within elite routines, Lamonier competes as a flyer — the athlete lifted into the air during stunt groups, basket tosses, and pyramid sequences. Her role requires precision, balance, courage, and consistency. Performing high-difficulty skills, including flips and spins, demands body control, spatial awareness, and accurate timing. Elite cheerleading also requires strong emotional and athletic intelligence — the ability to stay calm, focused, and react quickly in unexpected situations. At this level, small details and split-second reactions can determine competitive outcomes.

In the Rangers’ routine, Lamonier appears across all major stunt sequences of the performance, including partner stunts, basket tosses, and pyramid sections. During pyramid sections, Lamonier typically performs as a mid-layer flyer, helping stabilize the structure that supports the top flyers. At the NCA All-Star National Championship in Houston, however, she temporarily moved into the top flyer position after an injury to a teammate required adjustments to the routine.

The adjustment required Lamonier to perform a different role within the pyramid while maintaining the precise timing and synchronization expected at the Level 7 tier, where high-difficulty skills are executed several feet above the mat and require exact body control and coordination with multiple teammates.

Lamonier brings discipline, adaptability, and mental resilience to both training and competition. These qualities are essential in environments where performance standards are strict and the margin for error is minimal.

Current Role and Future Aspirations

Today, Bárbara Lamonier competes at the highest level of international cheerleading, maintaining peak physical condition and executing advanced technical skills in major competitions. At this stage of her career, she is expected to contribute directly to team performance and competitive results.

She plans to continue competing at the sport’s highest level, focused on refining her skills, pushing her limits, and representing her country internationally. Alongside her competitive career, she serves as an assistant coach at Westcliff University, supporting the development of younger athletes while remaining active at the elite level.

As a returning World Champion competing with one of the sport’s most successful programs, Lamonier remains among the athletes performing at the highest level of international cheerleading.

Through disciplined progress and sustained elite performance, Lamonier has established herself as one of the leading Brazilian athletes competing in international cheerleading and a World Champion at the sport’s highest level.
