Two pedestrians, Shivananda Hulakoti and Ashok Sarvi, were killed in a tragic road accident in Gadag’s Lakshmeshwar after a car driver allegedly fell asleep and lost control near Channamma College. One more pedestrian was injured in the incident.
A tragic road accident has been reported from Karnataka’s Gadag district, where two pedestrians lost their lives after being hit by a speeding car early in the morning. The incident occurred near Channamma College in Lakshmeshwar town, turning a routine morning walk into a devastating tragedy.
According to initial reports, the driver of the vehicle, who was travelling from Maharashtra to Lakshmeshwar, allegedly dozed off while driving. As the car approached Channamma Circle, he lost control of the vehicle, which then veered off its path and rammed into pedestrians walking along the roadside. The impact was severe, and the two men died on the spot.
Victims Identified
The deceased have been identified as 48-year-old Shivananda Hulakoti and 40-year-old Ashok Sarvi. Another pedestrian is also said to have sustained injuries in the incident and is currently receiving treatment.

Shivananda and Ashok had set out on their usual morning walk from Ambedkar Colony as part of their daily routine for better health.
