The nation celebrates the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and leaders across parties paid tributes to Bapu at Rajghat in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be paying a visit to Sabarmati Ashram before addressing the nation. 
 

Andhra Pradesh government has taken strong steps to ban liquor in the state. It has taken over 3,500 liquor retail outlets, increased the price of alcohol and fixed timing for consumption of liquor with restrictions.

By the end of march, BBMP will be able to provide a solution to commuters and many software professionals in outer city limits who struggle to find hygienic toilets. Now, 400 new toilets will come up and many will be placed on the outer ring road. These toilets will be equipped with solar panels and also will use tertiary water supply for flushing.

Other members of the family were hospitalised after they began vomiting and suffered bouts of diarrhoea. Locals said the family had no ration card to avail necessities at cheap prices and few villagers were helping them by providing food
