Lithium is one of the most sought-after minerals globally. India has found a new ray of hope in the global competitive market - a new untouched reserve of this precious metal. Lithium batteries have a high power-to-weight ratio, high energy efficiency, good high-temperature performance, and low self-discharge. These are one of the many reasons why lithium is used in EV batteries.

In response, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said the NEET PG examination would be held on March 5 as scheduled.

Geological Survey of India for the first time established Lithium inferred resources (G3) of 5.9 million tonnes in the Salal-Haimana area of the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.  Lithium, a non-ferrous metal and one of the key components in EV batteries, was found in the Reasi district.
